To register your player(s) for our league, please use the online registration system link provided above. The registration system will go active online starting November 5th. It makes registering faster, more accurate, and easier for everyone to use the online system.
Information Needed to Complete Registration
The following items will be needed to help complete registration using the online system.
Returning players, please review and update the information we have on file when registering (especially medical info).
Late registration (after close date of standard registration) places a player on our wait list. Wait list players are not guaranteed a spot on a team but the hope is that all players can be placed.
The registration fee for "AA", "AAA", and "AAAA" divisions will be $230, and the registration fee for the "A" division is $145 per player.
There are several discount opportunities:
1. Multi-Sibling Discount
There is a multi-sibling discount of $50 off for each additional sibling. First child is $230 and an additional sibling is $180 ($50 discount will appear at the checkout).
2. Early Registration Discount
All "A" division and "AA" division players are eligible for a $35 early registration discount to encourage our younger softball stars to participate and develop an affinity for the game. To take advantage of the early registration discount for "A" and "AA" division players, please register before December 7, 2015. Players receiving the discount are grade levels Pre-K through 3rd grade, representing our "A" and "AA" divisions. Players in grade 3 that request to play up in "AAA" division will be subject to the higher fee in that division and are not eligible for a discount.
A late registration fee of $50 will apply after January 15, 2016 to cover additional costs incurred for uniforms and equipment as well as the management of our waiting list.
Registration fees are non-refundable after January 15, 2016.
Snack Shack Work Commitment
The league offers a $100 snack shack work “buyout” at registration. Families that do not purchase a buyout have a mandatory obligation to perform work hours in our snack shack and at other league events including tournaments, field improvement days, and Softball Appreciation Day. Each family is required to work at least 2 shifts of 2 hours with the possibility of additional volunteer hours as needed for league events. If you are not prepared to work, please purchase the buyout at registration. To thank our team managers for volunteering, the league will waive the snack shack work requirement for 1 team manager per team.
Items Included with Your Spring 2016 Registration
The league offers a rich schedule of fun events from January to May for the spring rec season. Players will participate in group clinics, team practices, games, and Softball Appreciation Day. Each player receives a picture set (individual and team photo) and a uniform set (jersey, socks, and visor).
The league provides all necessary gear to play except for softball pants, cleats, and glove. Families should purchase each player a pair of black color softball pants (local sports stores carry these items). Players are encouraged to purchase a helmet with mask included to assure good fit and avoid any health issues. Coaches or commissioners can assist with gear type and attributes if families have questions.
The LGCS recognizes that there are children within our community who would like to play but cannot afford the fees. As a result, LGCS can provide scholarships for those who are in need financial assistance. You must satisfy the requirements of the program to be eligible for full or partial financial assistance. Scholarships require additional volunteer hours with the league in line with the value of the scholarship. You can email email@example.com for more information.
